2012 Season

Holland Harvesting 2012 Season

For many reasons, I pretty much quit the 2012 webpage…The year continued on ahead of schedule all the way. We had a brief hold up between winter and spring wheat, but the spring wheat was also record early. This continued right into fall harvest, with a lot done in September. The corn was dry and early, we were finished early in November.

2012-05-26 We are finished up in Texas and on the move to S. Central Kansas. Temps. in the high 90’s and 30-40 mph winds allowed for pretty good cutting days which is good since there is wheat fit in Kansas. Most years we are just getting started now.

2012-05-19 The winter wheat is exceptional in N. Texas, more than making up for the poor crop last season.

2012-05-9 We are down in Wichita Falls, TX ready to get started cutting winter wheat. About 300 acres have been cut allowing the guys to try out the combines and get them set up. Rain has stopped us for a few days, but the crew is excited to get going!
