2013 Season

Holland Harvesting 2013 Season

6/17/2013   The rest of the equipment is headed towards S. Kansas from MN and we will run a full crew there.  There are also 3 pickup heads coming down out of Saskatchewan where we’ve been leaving them stored inside on flatbed trailers. They have been raising winter canola in Kansas and Oklahoma the last couple years now.

6/8/2013   We are done cutting in TX and actually cut more than expected, and the best part is they received several inches of beneficial rain within the last couple days and the night we finished cutting.  At least they’ve got a start on moisture for next year, hopefully it will come regularly until time to seed and replenish some moisture reserves.  The guys did a great job and caught on fast with good attitudes all the way around.

5/26/2013   There are 4 combines cutting in N. Texas.  They are floating the heads on the ground to cut short, 10 bu. wheat.  It is very humid with the torrential rains they got in SE Texas and more chance all week.  Meanwhile, there is a stormy week coming for the high plains, and we already lost 900 ac. to hail in N. Kansas early last week when Oklahoma got the tornadoes.

5/22/2013   We are loading in a cold, light drizzle to take half a crew to Texas to hopefully cut something.  They continue to zero out acres.
